Wild About Horses Equestrian Center was established in 1998 by Pam Bowen. My goal is to teach the fundamentals of a balanced rider, Horsemanship, Partnership on the ground, Kindness and Respect for our horses.
We recently celebrated 22 years of teaching in the Lafayette area! We are proud of the riders that have actively continued on with their riding and will always enjoy the students that enjoyed riding just for the experience.
My passion is teaching through natural aids, of seat and legs to drive and and hands to guide. Soft feel is our goal and main component of the union between horse and rider.
My passion has lead me down several roads, all allow my diverse background and experience.
My first lessons as a new rider were highly influenced by Dressage for the Western rider with Lynn Palm training. It has always been my style of teaching. I have been blessed to work under Clinton Anderson and John Lyon's many moon's ago, Ed Dabney, and many Indiana clinicians with great expertise.
As I continue in my journey I am focused on Cowboy Dressage. I have been blessed to ride under Eitan Beth Halacmey, Sheryl Strathman and mentor under Martina Bone.
The philosophy of Cowboy Dressage is import to me as it is a very natural for me to continue my journey!
